HHM Certified Public Accountants’ affiliated marketing firm, Southside Creative Group, announced Thursday that its team has expanded with the addition of Caroline Christman as communications director.
Ms. Christman comes to Southside Creative Group with knowledge and experience as a communications executive in the fashion, hospitality, non-profit, corporate, travel, and tourism-related industries. In her new role as communications director, Ms. Christman will focus on counseling clients across the agency’s growing business portfolio on brand strategy and messaging. She will also be responsible for expanding the firm’s public relations services, growing new business relationships and copy writing.
Previously, Ms. Christman worked as strategic communications director at Waterhouse Public Relations where she oversaw various campaigns and events for Chattanooga based businesses, and grew the client base with fashion accounts from Charleston, S.C. and Cleveland, Tn. Prior to relocating to Tennessee, she was an account director at HL Group in New York where she focused on public relations and communications strategy for global brands including Athleta, AG, DELPOZO, Mattel and The Woolmark Company, among others. Her previous work involved elevating clients’ editorial coverage, brand identity, celebrity product alignment, and event execution. During her role at HL Group, Ms. Christman worked on Mattel’s Barbie #Unapologetic campaign which was honored with a Bronze PR Lion at the 2014 Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity.
Ms. Christman’s current volunteer activities include serving on Chattanooga Women’s Leadership Institute’s IMPACT 2018 steering committee as marketing chair and on the Women’s Fund of Greater Chattanooga’s 2017 Voices committee. She earned her bachelor of science degree in fashion merchandising and business from Florida State University.
